The Museum of Anthropology showcases recent donations to its permanent collection with this exhibit featuring archaeological and ethnographic artifacts from cultures around the world. Highlights include intricately decorated personal adornment from Papua New Guinea, Tang Dynasty ceramics from China, and saddle rugs from the Salgo Collection. Admission is free. Open Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00am-4:30pm.
Star Wars Day (Childrens Event)

May the force be with you as you come to the Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem for Star Wars Day, Sunday, May 20th from 1-5 p.m.In a galaxy not so far, far, away awaits an exciting day! Greet Darth Vader and challenge yourself in a tauntaun race. Meet interesting characters from the Star Wars universe, practice your lightsaber skills and take an exciting ride down a 20 foot inflatable super slide! Create a Darth Vader mask and a Yoda paper bag puppet. The first 200 children will receive a glow in the dark surprise to take home. A food vendor will be here selling tasty treats.There is no registration required, but pre-registration is available online. The museum will only be open for this special event. The cost is $8 for members and $10 for non-members of the museum.
